Burnie Burns is the co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Rooster Teeth, and creator of the visionary web series Red vs. Blue. Burnie also wrote and starred in the 2015 feature film Lazer Team, heralded as the most successful cinema-on-demand film of all time. Over the last decade, Burnie built Rooster Teeth from a small web company into a mega entertainment brand with tens of millions of fans around the world and billions of video views, and a thriving live events, merchandise, branded content and advertising business. Burnie is recognized as an innovator and leader in the field of online video.
As a naturally gifted actor, Burnie lends talent to many Rooster Teeth productions. He voices the main character “Church” in Red vs. Blue and hosts some of Rooster Teeth’s most popular series, including Million Dollars, But..., Immersion and the Rooster Teeth Podcast. Burnie also regularly lends his expertise in online video to entertainment trade publications and industry conferences. He was named one of the "Top 25 Digital Stars" by The Hollywood Reporter in 2015. Burnie currently calls Austin, TX home, and likes to bring his two sons along on his world travels whenever he can.
